Deep cleaning services in Frederick, MD

A deep clean is our full room-by-room clean with more time on every surface, for a home that hasn’t been cleaned in a while, a first visit, a party, a listing or the holidays. A team of two takes about three hours for a typical three-bedroom home, and you can add the inside of the oven, the fridge, the cabinets, the windows or the walls. We’ve done them in Frederick County since 1989, and we do one almost every day.

Call (301) 698-9204 for a same-day estimate, Monday to Friday, or send us the basics.

Step 1 of 2

What a deep clean is

It’s the same list as our house cleaning, done slower. First visits almost always need it: the tile walls in the shower, the glass doors, the baseboards, the top of the fridge, under the furniture, the ceiling fans. A deep clean gets the house to the level a regular visit can then hold.

Bathrooms. Full scrub and polish of the tile walls and the tub or shower floor. Glass doors scrubbed inside and out. Sink, mirror and cabinet fronts. Light fixture and fan dusted. Toilet cleaned and disinfected. Floor washed.

Kitchen. Stove top. Microwave inside and out. Outside of the oven, fridge and dishwasher. Cabinet fronts and backsplash. All counters and the small appliances on them. Sink scrubbed and polished. Trash emptied. Floor washed.

Every other room. High dusting of corners, high pictures and ceiling fans. Baseboards hand-wiped, where a regular visit dusts them. Door frames, door tops and the doors themselves. Windowsills and the inside tracks, and the blinds dusted. Light switches, outlet covers and vent covers. Furniture, pictures, lamps and knick-knacks hand-dusted, with items lifted to dust under them. Vacuuming under furniture as far as the vacuum reaches, along the edges and over the upholstery. Bare floors mopped with a flat microfiber mop that’s damp, not wet.

What you can add

Inside the oven. Inside the fridge or freezer. Window washing, and opening windows to wash the sills. Vacuuming curtains. Sweeping the porch, patio or garage, and washing patio furniture. Cobwebs in the garage. A dishwasher and washing-machine refresh. Dryer lint. Silver polishing. The inside of the cabinets, cleaned and reorganized. Closets dusted and straightened. Wall washing.

Each one adds time, so say what you want when you book and we’ll put it in the estimate.

If someone in the house has been sick, we can finish with PUREmist, an electrostatic sprayer that puts our disinfectant evenly over the cleaned surfaces. Ask for it; it isn’t part of a routine visit.

Who this is for

A first visit before recurring service. A home that’s gone a few months without a clean. The week before a party or houseguests. A house about to be photographed for a listing. The holidays. After an illness in the house. And twice a year, spring and fall, for most of our regular customers, which keeps the house at its best between visits. The deep clean is also the base of a move-in or move-out clean, which adds the insides of everything.

Not for: hoarding or biohazard situations, fire or flood cleanup, carpet shampooing (we’re working on it, and we’ll have it by 2027), or organizing, which is a separate one-on-one service.

What we clean with

Our two main cleaners, a degreaser and a disinfectant, are made in our office from salt, water and electricity. The chemistry is Green Seal certified, and our hypochlorous acid disinfectant is registered with the EPA. We don’t use caustic chemicals, acids or alkalis, so there’s nothing in the air when you come home. Color-coded microfiber, HEPA-filtered vacuums. All of it means a healthier home for you. More on green cleaning.

What it costs

Deep cleans are priced by the hour, over the phone. We ask how many people live there, whether there are pets, what the clean is for, and what extras you want, and we tell you the estimate before the day. A clean for guests or for selling the house is held to a higher standard than a clean for yourself, and we plan the time for it.

On hourly jobs, confirm the final total with the team or the office before paying by cash or check. Larger jobs, five or more hours for a team of two, may need a deposit.

Our guarantee

Mistakes happen, and when they do we make it right. If any area we cleaned isn’t right, call the office within 24 hours and we come back within one business day to re-clean it at no charge.

Our technicians are employees, bonded and insured, covered by workers’ compensation and background-checked when hired.

What a customer said

★★★★★

We hired Maid Brigade to do a mid-year deep clean of our rental house. The woman that came out (Rosa) did an amazing job! Everything is clean and spotless. We will definitely be using this company again.

Questions people ask us

About three hours for a team of two in a typical three-bedroom home; a 2,500 square foot home, three to four. Bigger homes, pets, and homes that haven’t been cleaned in a while take longer. We’ll give you the estimate before the day.

Two to three weeks. For Thanksgiving, call by early November; for Christmas, by early December. We’d rather tell you now than be full when you call.

Yes. The process is the same whether it’s your first visit before recurring service or a one-time job, and you can change what the team does either way.

No. Pick up clutter, clothes and toys so the team can reach the surfaces, and put away anything valuable or fragile, or tell us not to touch it. A closed door means don’t clean that room.

We vacuum under furniture as far as the vacuum reaches. We can’t move heavy furniture or lift anything over 25 pounds.

Both can be added. We can’t take responsibility for blinds, windows or screens that are already worn, fragile or broken, so tell us about those before the day.

Two people in Maid Brigade uniforms clean a large bathroom—one wipes the sink counter with a red cloth while the other cleans a high cabinet near a freestanding tub.
